These are your tasks:

As a Linux/Security Engineer at Swissmakers, you will play a crucial role in realising our mission to provide innovative and customer-centric IT solutions. Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance and optimisation of Linux-based systems: You ensure that our customers' Linux systems run smoothly and optimise them where necessary.
  • Implementation and support of SIEM systems: You are responsible for the implementation and continuous development of our customers' SIEM systems based on the Elastic Stack.
  • Collaboration in the development of a SOCYou will analyse alarms, develop security processes and support the processing of security incidents in order to actively improve the IT security of our customers.
  • Active participation in customer projects and development of solutions: You are actively involved in customer projects and contribute to the development of customised solutions.
  • Knowledge transfer within the team and to our customers: You share your knowledge not only within our team, but also with our customers to ensure their success.

What you bring with you:

We are looking for a Linux professional with proven experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • Extensive Linux experience: You know Linux inside out.
  • Knowledge of SIEM: Ideally experience with the Elastic Stack.
  • Engineering expertise: Knowledge of proxy servers (Ngnix, Kemp, ...), Podman, Ansible or Kubernetes is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn: You are always hungry for knowledge and personal growth.
  • Self-employment: You can organise your work yourself and master irregular projects.
  • Student(s): Bonus point if you are studying computer science, business informatics or similar.
